Description

Historic Sea Captain’s Home best location downtownHeathcote is an 1870 Italianate home built by Captain George Crawford . This home is ideally located in the quiet residential neighborhood called ‘the hill’ , but is steps from the main street of Saugatuck. The view from the beautiful backyard overlooks the park, tennis court , and basketball court below, and looks across the Kalamazoo River to Mt. Baldhead .Known as the house with the porch , Heathcote has a beautiful front porch complete with table and chairs off the kitchen for your morning coffee, and an incredible screened in porch for cocktails, eating, reading , or just relaxing .Heathcote has two bedrooms upstairs, one with a queen bed and one with two twin beds. These bedrooms share a full , modern bath with original claw foot tub and walk in shower.Off the kitchen is an additional bedroom know as the bunky , with a queen bed and detached bath with shower. This section of the house is cottage quirky ( but most guests love it ) . This bedroom is not for small children because it is far from the master .The living room, dining room and kitchen are modern.Heathcote’s porches and yard are great for summer enjoyment. There is even a separate beer fridge ! Great location for kids with the tennis court , basketball court , and park steps away. Keywords: House
