Wolfeboro can honorably boast “America’s Oldest Summer Resort”. The preservation of the small-town charm allows you to relive your own childhood memories, or create new ones. The season extends well beyond traditional summer vacations. With breathless autumn foliage to enjoy, to cross country ski trails right outside your door. Gunstock Ski Area is a brief 20-minute drive away, or the Abenaki Ski Trails minutes away right in Wolfeboro. And of course the famous lake ice fishing. Spring bursts into bloom, a wonderful kickstart to the warm summer season.The house is conveniently located just a quick walk into the charming village of Wolfeboro, for a wide selection of restaurants, ice cream, sandwich and coffee shops. There is a wonderful variety of stores along the well-maintained sidewalks, many featuring local artists’ work. It’s convenience enjoyed by guests of the Wolfeboro Inn’s many events.The picturesque docks are a few minute walk away from the house, where you can board the famed Mount Washington ship. During the warmer seasons book a sunset dinner, or catch a ride on the mailboat as it delivers mail to hundreds of islands that rest lazily on the lake. You can choose to rent a boat and explore the scenic, mountain lined Winnie on your own. This amazing crystal-clear spring fed lake offers swimming, fishing, kayaking, etc. We have two mountain bikes, two kayaks, some floats, an inflatable paddle board, beach chairs, towels, soft cooler. We have lawn bocce, badminton set and croquet. These items are in the basement and children should not go in the basement without an adult as there are tools and other potential dangers.
