Enjoy peace and space in Salem, at the top unit of a large Victorian house on the same street as the Hocus Pocus house! The ocean is 1.5 blocks away and the lovely Forest River Park is a five minute walk.Easy street parking with a resident’s parking placard which will be available to you for your stay. The house is on a corner, in a very quiet, pretty area, a short walk to downtown but away from the crowds that visit in summer and at Halloween.Filled with natural light, the space has 2 queen bedrooms, good closet space, a large dining room with a working electric fireplace and original ornate surround, an eat-in kitchen, large, comfortable living room with smart TV, and many board games. The whimsical bathroom has a claw foot tub.You’ll have the use of almost all of the 1400 sq. ft.converted unit, which takes up all of the third floor of a large Victorian corner house. The only room not available is my study, which will be locked. There is a built in desk in the guest room and and of course tables in the living room and kitchen to work on. Wifi is fast and excellent.There are two families that live below me and we are all good neighbors – friendly, considerate, and respectful. I expect my guests to be the same!The condo is warm, comfortable, bright and spacious – a true oasis when visiting Salem for the New England coastal explorations with beautiful beaches and waterside dining, the magnificent Fall leaf-peeping season, or the world-famous Halloween festivities.It’s my home and it’s filled with furniture and decor (vintage!) that I’ve picked up in my travels and from my previous life in England.Please note that you’ll be staying in a third floor unit without an elevator, so if you’re not up to stairs this may not be the place for you. I love the light and space and no neighbors above me, so see it as a positive, especially on days I don’t get outdoor exercise!
