Your short five-minute walk to the Grove or Farmer’s Market will be highly rewarding (adjacent to the Grove, Farmer’s Market is a casual showbiz meeting place with produce stands and ethnic food stalls). Yes, there’s on-street permit-parking directly in front of the villa, viewable from indoors, day and night. At night, the street is illuminated by several high-intensity LCD street lamps. Third St., about four blocks away, a 7-min walk. These give access to Metro bus lines going east to downtown and west to Beverly Hills, Westwood, West LA and Santa Monica, etc. Useful Metro bus #14 going east at Gardner/Beverly connects quickly to Metrorail station at Vermont/Beverly. From there, visits to the various areas, whether Hollywood, Downtown, or even Exposition Park (the California Science Center–via #754 bus) possible and take about 25-40 min. Taking the bus the other way, west, first, gets you to a number of north-south buses (207/217) at Beverly/Fairfax, and onward in about 40 min to places like Getty Center in West LA/Brentwood. Metro “Rapid” buses are express buses also available to the Westside. Please utilize (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps, of course, before using system.
