This house was designed by Frank McCall, the famous southern architect, and reflects his classic style but also has it’s own character and fun accents that have been well maintained by today’s owners. Widely known on Sea Island as the “pink house”, this classic cottage is a great choice for a multi-generation family vacation, 4 couples, or two families with their children, due to the layout and set up of the bedrooms. This house truly has 3 similar master suites that makes it a great house for couples that want their own space, each with a king bed and en-suite bathroom. The 4th bedroom of this home has a king bed, but the bathroom is immediately across the hallway. This house was built for making Sea Island memories that will last a lifetime. If you are looking for a house and will be attending a wedding or event at Ocean Forest, or have been invited to play golf there, this is wonderful house for you due to it’s close proximity (less than 4 short blocks away.)Upon entering the home, you walk into the foyer and can proceed to the rooms downstairs, or take the staircase to head to the second floor. The downstairs master suite is just off the entryway, and is a spacious room with a king bed that features beautiful antiques and is filed with natural light. The bathroom has a vanity that is separated by a door from the combination shower and tub, making it ideal an ideal separate space to get ready in. On the other side of the foyer when you enter is the living room, which provides a great space for conversations or cocktails and has a TV. This cozy room has an open floor plan that flows into the dining room, which is set for 8 people and is filled with beautiful antiques.The living room is adjacent to the kitchen, which is newly renovated and one of the highlights of this home. The kitchen features marble countertops and marble floors, a beautiful tiled back splash, all brand-new, stainless steel appliances, a wine cooler, under the counter ice maker and a bar area, and coffee bar set up. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you will need for your stay and plenty of place settings, making it a great kitchen for a private chef to come cook for you during your stay, so you can enjoy a wonderful night in! This eat-in kitchen also has a dining table for 4 people. The laundry area is just off the kitchen in a closet, with a washer and dryer for guests to use during their stay.The second downstairs bedroom is down the hallway from the kitchen, and features a king bed. The bathroom is immediately across the hallway, and has a shower. This bathroom is only for this bedroom, providing guests in this room their own space to get ready. On the opposite end of the kitchen is the den, which has lots of natural light and a beautiful view of the oak trees in the backyard. This is the main gathering space of the home and also has a TV. The first floor is rounded out with a guest bathroom, on the main hallway in between the front door and the den.After reaching the upstairs landing, there are two more master suites on either side of the home. The bedroom on the left has a king bed and a twin bed—an ideal sleeping arrangement for parents with a young child that they want to sleep in the same room, but still want their own space. This bedroom has a walk-in closet that is available for renters and is a great place for a baby or infant that needs a quiet space close to their parents if they are sleeping in a pack and play or a crib (this closet is larger than it appears in the photos). Also, if you are travelling with babies or infants, this house has 2 cribs and one pack and play that guests are welcome to use. Each bedroom has a closet that is available for guests to use, but this bedroom is the only one that also has a walk-in closet available for guests to use. The second upstairs suite has an identical set up with a king bed and twin bed in the room, and features beautiful white wicker furniture, giving it a nod to the coastal life. The bathroom is similar as well, with a vanity that is separate from the combination shower and tub, making it ideal for having a separate space to get ready. The second floor also features access to a precious patio that overlooks the front of the home.One of the highlights of this property is the large pool and outdoor living space, which is the perfect place to spend time with your friends or family during your stay. The backyard and pool are truly a dreamy and idyllic setting, framed by the several hundred-year-old oak trees, draped in Spanish moss, along with the Palm trees and local landscaping that reminds you to kick back and enjoy the relaxation that island life provides. With two sets of dining tables around the pool, it’s also a wonderful place to dine outside. (This pool can be heated for a fee and needs to be arranged at a minimum of a week prior to the guests’ stay.)This house has plenty of onsite parking in the semi-circle gravel driveway in front of the home, and on the gravel driveway on the side. This house does have a garage, but is not available to renters. Located close to the 36th street beach access, you can enjoy Sea Island’s pristine private beaches by walking the 4 short blocks to the beach access, biking, taking golf cart or driving. While this house is close to the beach access, the privacy and serene nature of the home make it ideal for vacation!Not only is this a wonderful home to choose for vacation, but Sea Island has long been a top vacation spot in the US as a 5-star, private island that features 5 miles of coastline. Please make sure to arrange one week in advance with property manager.**Option to Purchase Sea Island Temporary Membership Cards:The home owner has a Sea Island Membership, thus Temporary Membership Cards can be arranged and purchased for renters, which grants them access to all Sea Island Amenities and gives them the ability to book activities, dining, spa, golf, etc with Sea Island. If the guest chooses to purchase temporary membership cards, the guest is charged the fees, as shown below:Adults (26+): $175 per adult, per dayChildren Under 26: $60 per child per day. Children are considered under 26 years old, not married, immediate children. (2 free children’s cards are provided per family, with the purchase of at least 1 adult card, per family that day.)Guests can pick and choose who in the group gets cards, and on what days. The cards do not have to be consecutive. One person can book up to two tee times and one dining reservation for the same day with one card. Please reach out if you have questions or want more information on how temp member cards work.Example: A Family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 children under 26 will be charged the following on a daily basis for the days that they opt to purchase temp member cards: $175 per adult, per day and nothing for their 2 children, so their total would be $350 per day.
