This beautiful historic home is right in the heart of the historical Antietam National Battlefield! The original footprint of this home was built in 1790 and was originally used as a Post Office during the Civil War. Later, the building was added onto in the 1850’s. Seconds away from the nationally known Nutter’s Ice Cream shop, Burkholder’s Bakery, Captain Bender’s Tavern, which has an amazing food menu, and many other local shops.There is so much to do when you stay here. Visit the Antietam National Battlefield and see the surrounding areas from the Civil War era Watch tower; visit the newly restored Burnside Bridge, hike the C&O Canal, fish the Potomac River and Antietam Creek, visit the Antietam National Cemetary. Walk around Boonsboro, MD and shop in Shepherdstown, WV.There is a fenced in back yard for you to relax and an enclosed porch to store your bicycles during your stay.We know you will enjoy your stay with us!
