Wake up to Island living with the roosters, iguanas and the sounds of navy jets flying overhead in beautiful Big Coppitt Key. Located at Mm10, a short drive to historic Key West where you can visit the beach, restaurants, enjoy nightlife and many other tourist activities. The master suite has a king bed, en-suite bath with walk-in shower, double sinks and walk-in closet. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a large dresser. The third bedroom is perfect for children with a boat trundle bed (bed and trundle are both twin size). The guest bath in the adjoining hallway features a bathtub/shower combo. Laundry room has a full-size washer and dryer. Large kitchen with all the essentials for cooking. The living room sofa has a queen size pull out sofa bed and a smart TV for your streaming needs. Unlike downtown Key West where parking can be a large challenge this property offers plenty of shaded parking under the house for cars and trailer, boat or jet ski parking on the large gravel driveway. Public boat ramps are within 1 mile for either the gulf or ocean side. Bobalus restaurant is very close by as well as a children’s park a few blocks away.KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:There is a Navy base in Key West as well as Key West International Airport. Navy jets and occasionally commercial airplanes can be loud and fly over the house. They WILL be heard and seen during your stay anywhere on the island but likely will be more noticeable in this otherwise quiet neighborhood. Many enjoy the free air show. This house was built to the most recent building codes and is therefore on stilts and elevated approximately 10 feet from the ground. Due to this the house is not handicapped accessible and guests must be able to climb stairs to enter the home. This also requires close supervision of children on the property. This property is dog friendly however it is not fenced in, therefore dogs must be leash walked and picked up after. Care should be taken to watch children and pets around local wildlife such as iguanas, snakes and Bufo toads. Security cameras are present on site including the following areas, driveway, backyard/under house, doorbell, deck/doors. There is also 1 camera in the kitchen area that will be taken down during guest stays. Free WIFI provided. Streaming services available with guest’s own account(s). At times there may be disruptions to water, electric or cable internet services while on the island that are out of our control as hosts. No compensation will be given for such outages should they occur during your stay. Purchasing a travel insurance policy is highly recommended should you need to cancel outside of our listed cancellation policy.
