Description
You are greeted as you walk through the birch trees to the arched timber entrance of Kamp Krieger. You enter the home into a large open living area featuring the kitchen, living area and dining area. As you walk through the home the wood of the timber frame is everywhere from the large beams to the cathedral ceilings on the second floor. The kitchen is a chef’s playground complete with all new inlaid appliances and granite counter tops. You won’t be roughing it on this kamp stay on the lake! As you stand at the sink preparing dinner you look through the windows to a panoramic view of the lake. The main stone fire fireplace is the centerpiece of the living room area with comfortable down couches surrounding. Relax by the fire after a long day of skiing or on cool summer nights. Have your first cup of coffee in the sun room taking in the morning light shining off the lake. The dining area is large enough for two families to easily gather around. In the sun-room is a second table nearby that easily sits another 5 guests. When this second table is not used for dining it is ideal for board games, or jigsaw puzzles. If it’s two crowded down stairs don’t worry head upstairs to the den with vaulted timber ceilings overlooking the lake. The Master Bedroom Suite includes its own porch for those early morning coffees. The MB consists of a King bed, Fireplace, walk through closet, full tiled bath with stone sink, multi spray shower. One of the two upstairs bedrooms has a queen size bed and cozy sitting couch. The second family bedroom sleeps 5 with double size bunks and two singles. The bedrooms attach to an upstairs lounge area that has 50′ HDTV flat screen. Directly above the lounge is the highest point of the house which has a ladder to yet another sleeping loft area. The loft can accommodate 2 additional adults (but this is where the kids love to sleep!). There is a full bath located directly off the upstairs lounge area on the second floor. The fourth bedroom has another queen bed located on the first floor off the main entrance. On the first floor you will find the laundry / locker room. Plenty of hanging ski storage along with cubbies to store everyone’s ski gear. After a long day of skiing take off your gear, hang in your own cuby and take care of the laundry all in one area. The house sits only 18 feet from the water’s edge. Relax in several areas on the lake. Sit around the fire pit during the cool summer evening cooking samors or keeping warm in the winter after ice skating. Have meals out on the patio table inches from the water. Read a book as you stare out on the lake on the lounge chairs. Have drinks under the umbrella on the dock or maybe swing on the chair lift as you watch the kids play ring toss. A sandy play area just in front of the stone wall allows easy access to the lake. The dock is large enough to handle boats up to 25′. The property is on a channel that typically is only traveled by the locals which makes it that much more private. It has a sandy area for swimming and wonderful rocks to swim out to.Keywords: Lake Sunapee, Mount Sunapee Ski Resort, Timber cabin, cottage, house, lake rental, upscale, luxury, private, paradise.
