We just (Dec 2022) completed a full, complete remodel . . . air conditioning added, all new furniture, all new flooring and tile, all new appliances, all new mahogany doors & trim, all new kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Besides being completely remodeled, let me tell you what makes our unit special, and then more about the property itself.Location matters!!! With ~330 condos at Kiahuna Plantation Resort, some units are located on the beach . . . the ocean is right there but it can also be crowded which cuts into your privacy. Then some units are away from the beach next to the road where you’ll definitely hear cars driving by . . . and some will find this too noisy. Our unit, is located about 200 feet from the ocean in the heart of Kiahuna Plantation Resort. This part of the resort is always in high demand, because the units are quiet, close to the beach with an ocean view but still affordable.Our specific unit is a second-floor, end-unit, which means there are more windows to leave open and enjoy the breeze . . . and you don’t have to worry about closing every window when you want to go to the beach (which you’ll have to do with bottom floor units) . . . just leave and the condo remains nice and pleasant while you’re gone. For days when you’d like a little bit more than a breeze, turn on the air conditioning in the living room or the bedroom. Our unit is a one-bedroom non-smoking condo that sleeps 2 adults and 2 children and is fully outfitted for all your needs.The condition of your unit matters too!!! Kiahuna Plantation Resort was built more than 40 years ago across 35 acres, and while the resort grounds are beautiful . . . many individual units have been minimally updated over the years, and it shows as soon as you walk in. To that end, we just completely remodeled our unit in December 2022. We opened up the kitchen area . . . we not only modernized it with new cabinets, counters and appliances, but we also wanted to brighten up the unit and open up the kitchen to allow those in the kitchen to feel connected to those in the living and dining room. We also re-designed the bathroom so now there’s a large walk-in shower to rinse off after your stay at the beach. All new furniture . . . nothing was spared to ensure the beauty of Kiahuna Resort was matched inside our unit as well. Lastly, you’re vacationing in a tropical paradise . . . so we took care to make sure the unit and its furnishings feel like you’re staying on a tropical resort and not some sterile hotel room.Kiahuna Plantation Resort was developed more than 40 years ago when there were virtually no vacation properties on the sunny south side of Kauai. The property is located on Poipu Beach, which the Travel Channel called one of the best 10 beaches in the world . . . for three straight years. The resort was designed to have the laid-back feel of an old tropical resort, with all low-rise buildings which are spread out across 35 acres of grounds.The Poipu Beach Athletic Club (PBAC) is just across the road, and our guests have full access to the pool, workout room and tennis courts.Please look over our pictures to get a sense of our unit, Kiahuna and Kauai.
