Lake George Sandy Bay Waterfront Cottage Awesome for Families

Our Cottage is on the east side of Lake George in the sought out shallower area of Sandy Bay. We are located on the Cleverdale peninsula, 1 mile north of the Cleverdale Country store on Sandy Bay.Yes, you can bring your boat, and yes we are directly on the water!There are always fun events taking place every week/weekend!!! Check out the Cleverdale Country store and it’s live music/dinner specials /wine & beer every Thursday night!!Many of our guests have been with us for 15+ years and we are so looking forward to another great year!Boat, float, kayak, bike, hike, fish or just RELAX!!! We are in the perfect spot!!Our cottage has an open floor plan, with one full bath with a tub.We have central air/heating throughout along with ceiling fans in all the rooms.The Kitchen is roomy and NEW with lots of counter space, a unique center island featuring an inlay of our pristine Lake George, a perfect gathering spot with bar stools. Our guests have expressed excitement in using it as their perfect board game location!!!The living/family room and kitchen are open and spacious.We have cable and wireless high speed internet also for your enjoyment as well as a large flat screen TV.There are 3 bedrooms, 2 with queen beds in each, 1 bedroom with 2 twin beds. An Adirondack style futon (full/queen) offers additional sleeping for 2 located in the sunroom, a favorite spot for many! (Sorry but we do not provide bed linens or towels, so remember to pack them)Enjoy the views of Sandy Bay and Lake George from the sun room while dining, playing cards, or reading. Windows surround this entire area giving light and incredible views. Watching the boats coming in and out of the bay with the mountains as a backdrop is always a treat.We have a gas grill for your use along with an outdoor fire pit for evening campfires and roasting marshmallows. Or simply sit back and star gaze! There are always shooting stars here, in the Adirondacks. If there are fireworks in Bolton Landing, or at the Sagamore, you will be able to see them from the deck or at the lakefront.Sit outside on the deck in our swing chairs or at the picnic table and enjoy the incredible views of the lake looking across to Dome Island and the Sagamore Hotel.Our cottage is ideal for families with children and adults because of the large expanse of lawn which provides plenty of play area both near and away from the water. You can swim or fish off our dock which extends into beautiful Sandy Bay. (That’s right It’s all SAND, no mud or weeds). The fact that Lake George with it’s crystal clean water is rated one of the top ten cleanest lakes in the world merely enhances the experience!From the dock there are steps that lead into the shallow sandy lake which provides an excellent area for young children to swim and play. You can walk right into the water, as it is knee high making it a great spot to stand or float all day long!!We offer lounge chairs and a picnic table at the lakefront for guests to enjoy as well. If your not able to bring your own kayak, we do have 2 on the property for use within the bay only.It’s been referred to as ‘a little piece of Heaven’ by many of our guests! We believe it is. As the seasons change, the Fall will bring an array of colors from mountain to mountain making it a photographers dream! This is the lake that inspired Georgia O’Keefe who spent many summers painting and capturing it’s beauty!!Let us know if you have any questions, and we will be more than happy to answer them.
