With a main house, a guest house, & a smoke house, you can relax and unwind by the lake, soak up the insta-worthy views and enjoy your refreshing change-of-scenery. The main house and guest house provide perfect accommodations for when you want to be close with privacy. The park-like setting provides direct access to Buchanan Lake. The outdoor firepit is the family favorite spot for making s’mores. We provide propane BBQ plus smoke house smoker, yard games, & plenty of board games…or you can just relax with the lake as your backdrop.Located 15 miles from Highway 29, this peaceful get-away offers great lakeside seclusion with perfect opportunities for relaxation as well as multiple lake recreation activities.-You’ll have the entire lakefront property to yourself!-Screened-in smoke house perfect for Texas BBQ :-)-Private Boat Dock for fishing, playing, and your boat.-Ask about our boat rental or bring your own boat!-Community boat ramp just around the corner from the property.-Kayaks are available for use and stored on the boat dock in racks along the entry plank.Other things to note-We allow up to 10 people to stay at the property, but there are only two bathrooms and a total of two queen beds plus a twin over double bunk bed. Other sleeping arrangements are couches and inflatable mattresses.- Even with our regular pest management services, it’s possible you may encounter wildlife and other creatures at this property, including fire ants, scorpions, wasps, and snakes. Enjoy but be careful and stay on our property at your own risk.-The boat dock has some loose deck boards–Use at your own risk and be careful!-You are welcome to fish off the private dock, but be careful–There are shallow areas that are not safe for jumping in.-The window shades make it quite dark for sleeping in, but they are not full black-out.-There is no closet in the guesthouse, but there is a shelving unit with a place to hang clothes.-The guest house has one queen bed, large couch, bathroom and kitchenette. The kitchenette has a two-burner countertop stove, toaster oven, microwave, small refrigerator, coffee maker & is stocked with basic cooking supplies.-The main house has one queen bed (primary bedroom) plus a twin over double bunk bed (pass through bedroom), one bath, a full kitchen with supplies and a dishwasher.- Enjoy rural Texas Hill Country in this small community on the lake. There is a small market down the street (J & S), but the closest grocery store is about 20-30 minutes away.Items to noteRegarding pets, the pet fee is just $145 flat if you have up to three. We ask that you only bring well-behaved pets who are house-trained 🙂 You are responsible for picking up after any pet brought to the property, any damage or disturbance caused by pets, and accept all liability for incidents involving pets. Thank you!*If you plan on bringing pets, the yard is not fully fenced in.*Please note that all water activities are subject to lake water levels. The water level is still very low at Lake Buchanan and the water does not currently come up to the property, and the dock is on dry land. We provide wheel straps for the kayaks and there are trails for walking or driving to the water (We recommend staying on trails with vehicles to avoid getting stuck). It is currently about a 5-minute walk to the waters edge. You’re welcome to contact us for current water levels or questions.Guest limits: This property has a guest limit of 8 standard and 10 maximum. Extra guest fees apply beyond standard occupancy.Guest access: You will have private access to the entire property and all structures, with the exception of several supply cabinets.**Before booking, see the House Rules including our policies about being a good neighbor. Failure to follow our House Rules will be considered a violation of your rental agreement and may result in immediate eviction from the property without a refund plus you may incur additional fees and costs.Please note that not all staging items in the photos are included.Let us know if you have any questions!
