Classic and delightful, this 3 bedroom, 2 bath Connecticut cottage is located on a quiet street just 2 blocks from the water. It sleeps 6 and has all the amenities you need for a perfect visit to this picturesque shoreline village.The newly renovated house features an inviting open floor plan with a fireplace for chilly nights and AC for warm days. The kitchen, bathrooms, dining room, laundry, and floors were all tastefully remodeled in 2021, with beautiful fixtures and appliances. There is a wonderful outdoor shower – perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach. You can relax the day away on the breezy screened in porch, surrounded by roses, honeysuckle, and hydrangea. The large grassy yard has plenty of room for BBQ, badminton or just letting the kids frolic.A short walk to town and local beaches, this home gives you a perfect starting point to explore all that Madison and the Connecticut shoreline has to offer. “Courtside” is perfect for your family’s annual visit to the local beaches, The Surf Club and The Madison Beach Club. It’s also an ideal, central spot for visiting friends and relatives.Take our bikes for a ride along the water to Hammonasset Beach, a 15 minute ride on a beautiful trail. Head into town to enjoy the local culture; a movie at the “art house” theater, pick up a book from the world-famous RJ Julia Bookstore, ice cream from Ashley’s, or a phenomenal meal at one of Madison’s fine restaurants. Explore the growing viniculture industry nearby or head over to Guilford to pick fruit all summer long at Bishop’s Orchards. Enjoy one of the many ‘Farm to Table’ dinners that local farms host and visit the weekly farmers market on Madison Green, where the best of CT summer foods make their seasonal appearance.Come see what makes Madison such a special place, where generations of families return to year after year. Our cottage was built in the 1940’s, and has been lovingly maintained and updated. A perfect spot to relax and explore the surrounding historic areas and beachfront.Our usual minimum stay is seven nights. On occasion we can accommodate shorter stays.
