Also, on the main level is a bedroom with comfy queen bed and a full bath.Upstairs you will find another spacious bedroom with king size bed and a half bath. A flat screen TV with cable is available as well so you can catch your favorite show before falling asleep.The lower level features a game room with Foosball table for your entertainment, and a TV with DVD only so kids or adults can enjoy music or a movie..Step out on the deck from the main level and you will find outdoor seating for enjoying the river and mountains views as well as a propane grill for grilling and entertaining in total privacy on those cool Carolina Mountain evenings.Tranquility is convenient to some of Ashe County’s finest fishing. Both Helton Creek and Big Horse Creek are stocked trout streams and just a short drive from the cabin. The New River is just below the cabin and is great for canoeing, tubing and fishing. Tranquility is just 5 minutes from Lansing, 10 minutes from Jefferson, and 45 minutes from the Boone area. Situated in the northwestern part of Ashe County you’re also close to the Virginia Creeper – North Carolina and Virginia’s premier mountain biking trail, which stretches 34 miles from Abingdon, down thru the lovely town of Damascus, along the Whitetop Laurel River and up to its highest point at Whitetop Station, near the NC state line. The Virginia Creeper Trail is open year-round to hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. Don’t miss this ride – a blast for the whole family, with several bike rental shops to serve you. And don’t forget to take a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, for some of the country’s most awe-inspiring views. You’ll understand how our mountains got their name!
