There is also a trail that leads over to Puako.Getting Around:The Big Island has much to see and do and it is highly advised that guests rent a car to take advantage of the many things this island has to offer. Hawaii Island does not have abundant public transportation, so renting a car is best. However, if you do not drive you may consider hiring a charter tour, driver, or Uber.Other Things to Note:The driveway is extremely short and we have a golf cart to boot. The association requires the golf cart to be parked inside the garage and therefore we are left with room to park one large SUV or Van inside the garage and one compact car (i.e. Honda Fit) outside the garage (the bumper cannot overhang into the road). The compact car must also be parked straight in and not at an angle. There are 2 guest spaces nearby and at the pool however these spaces are for day parking only and you may not park there overnight.
