Description

Mango Haven – A Gracious HISTORIC Beachfront HomeMango Haven is a very private designated historic home reminiscent of “Old Hawaii” in modern day Honolulu. The majestic mango tree is the heart of our home that welcomes guests with its large gracious canopy. It is our beach home which is ideal for us to slow down and enjoy the ocean. Born and raised in the islands we cherish Mango Haven and want to share with you our inviting and laid-back home – located on an uncrowded sandy stretch of beach. The prolific mango tree bears an abundance of fruit. Generations have made mango chutney from these mangoes, and generations have also returned to enjoy their time at Mango Haven with family and friends. We take pride in the number of returning guests each year. When Mango Haven was renamed to capture the essence of this historic property, we unfortunately lost all of our previous (all positive) reviews beginning in 2002 on this website. Yet guests were coming for generations before….before this website or the Internet! Our home is a Haven – to spend time together with family and friends enjoying the beach, sharing meals and relaxing from your day in the sun. The epic sunrises seem to make coffee taste better! At the end of the day, enjoy the sunset skies or sit under the stars at night beneath the swaying palms hearing the sound of the water lapping on the shore. This well maintained beach house was once a fishing cottage in the 1930’s. We take pride in preserving the old charm while keeping it updated with modern conveniences of WiFi, Cable TV, Modern Appliances and Air Conditioning. The beach views are the focal point of the spacious living room, dining room, screened in lanai and two master suites. The master suites each have full bathrooms and the third bedroom has an attached ½ bath. Our private outdoor shower can’t be beat after a day in the ocean and is enjoyed all year round.Mango Haven is over 2200 square feet with room for all to gather as well as room for privacy. The large enclosed lanai that opens toward the beach is our most popular room in the home. Here is where we spend time enjoying the view of the ocean, dining, taking naps on the hiki’es (day beds), playing ping pong, or reading a book. Something for everyone is awaiting you at Mango Haven. The yard is planted with flowering plants and fruit trees. Enjoy the fragrant Plumeria, Stephanotis, Orchids and Ginger when they are in bloom. If you are here when the bananas ripen or during Mango season – ENJOY the bounty of fruit! This island beach house is centrally located with easy access to major island attractions. 10 minute beach stroll to Waialae Country Club and the Kahala Hotel. Great location for attending the Sony Open. The home is also located along the Honolulu Marathon route – ideal location for participants or to cheer your favorite runner on! Haunama Bay, Koko Head Crater, the Blow Hole, Sandy Beach, Pearl Harbor, the University of Hawaii (the home is very popular during graduation weekend so book early!), The Hawaii Convention Center, Ala Moana Shopping Center, Bishop Museum, Iolani Palace & Diamond Head are easy to get to from our central location.Come enjoy Mango Haven and make new memories in our charming home.We like to know a little bit about our guests who may be staying in our Historic home. Please tell us about yourselves. Where are you traveling from? What brings you to the islands? Is this your first trip to the islands? We look froward to hearing from you!* We have a caretaker on premise* We have a security system and security cameras are located at the front door andback patio.GET Number: GE-163-577-8560-01TAT Number: TA-163-577-8560-01
