We are also conveniently located near breathtaking Saranac Lake and the famous Olympic town of Lake Placid, right next to Whiteface Mountain. Year-round activities such as boating, hiking, skiing & snowboarding keep the Adirondacks a great location for families during any season…although we do suggest you bundle up from October-March!PLEASE NOTE: THE FERRY TO BURLINGTON, VT FROM PORT KENT, NY IS CLOSED DURING THE WINTER MONTHS (OCT-MAY). THERE IS STILL A YEAR-ROUND FERRY THAT RUNS FROM PLATTSBURGH, NY THAT WILL GET YOU TO BURLINGTON WITHIN 1-1 1/2 HOURS.
