We have a pond, fire pit, porch swings, outdoor covered seating, BBQ grill, jungle gym playground, huge 75″ smart tv, dedicated movie room with queen sleeper sofa, carnival style popcorn machine and bean bags.WiFiWe sleep 12 – –2 king beds, 2 queen beds (one is sleeper sofa), 2 twin beds, and a sofa.* THIS IS A 3 ACRE PROPERTY AND IT HAS OTHER UNITS ON THE SIDE AND REAR OF THE PROPERTY THAT WE RENT OUT TO OTHER GUESTS. ALL YOUR SPACES LISTED HERE ARE PRIVATE AND NO OTHER GUEST IS ALLOWED IN YOUR SPACE. The lay out of Tavern Cabin allows your family to have both large community areas to enjoy all together and intimate spaces to enjoy with that special someone.The property is 3 acres, with 2 of those being wooded for the nature enthusiast in you. We have a pond out back where you can enjoy fishing, the geese that come in the spring, the many turtles, frogs and other pond life that create a beautiful symphony of sounds in the evening, perfect to enjoy around our fire pit.We also have a paddle board available for the more adventurous types. or you could wander just 3 miles down the road to Curtis Memorial Park where your family will have plenty of room to move. It’s home to the Gauntlet Golf Course, this park includes lake access, an outdoor swimming pool, fishing, disc golf, horseshoe pits, multiple pavilions, pool concessions, picnic tables, a playground, restroom facilities, a skateboard park, a multi-purpose field, tennis courts, sand volleyball and walking trails. What more could you ask for?Back at Tavern Cabin we have porch swings, outdoor covered seating, BBQ grill, a jungle gym playground for the kids, a huge 75″ smart TV for those family movie nights. And don’t forget our dedicated movie room with 60″ TV, queen sleeper sofa, carnival style popcorn machine and bean bags for those rainy nights that will keep you indoors. Our WiFi is strong, which will allow for the entire family to stream their favorite media, while also allowing for work or business to get accomplished.Tavern Cabin sleeps 10 people very comfortably with its 2 king beds, two queen beds (one is sleeper sofa bed), and two twin beds in the kids room. We can also squeeze in two more if you don’t mind sleeping on the couch for a total of 12 people.Lets not forget about the master suite with king bed and it’s own bathroom. The master suite also has a private balcony overlooking the back yard and pond, as well as a reading area with a comfy recliner.As you turn into our large parking area your worries start to fade away when you see the cabin, with its huge yard and beautiful pond in the background.Walk on up to the covered front porch which welcomes you with a lovely and intimate seating area complete with porch swing and comfy rocking chairs beautifully lit with the warm glow of string lights.Punch in your code and let the warmth of the hardwood floors, glowing edison lights, brick fireplace and log cabin walls pull you in to your new family vacation experience.Drop you coats and hat on the hall tree, kick off your shoes and come on in!MAIN LIVING ROOMThe main living area is open and bright with sunshine pouring in through the skylights, glistening off the natural woods in the cabin. Here you will find a big sectional and bean bags for seating, a huge 75″ Smart TV, brick fireplace that’s propane gas operated, and plenty of room to stretch out.KITCHENThe main living area connects to the kitchen, and yes, that’s a pull up bar so you can get your workout in on the way to the fridge! The beautiful granite countertops provide plenty of space for those home cooked meals. We provide all the basics to cook with…pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, utensils. We also have a Keurig, French Press, and traditional coffee pot. There’s a toaster, microwave, dishwasher, and gas stove.MEDIA ROOMEnjoy a nostalgic movie night in our fully outfitted media room. We put blackout window coverings to block out the sun for a true theater experience. The popcorn stand will make all the popcorn your family will ever need, plus it keeps it hot for you too! We put super comfy bean bags in there for those of you that like the floor space. The couch also folds out to a queen sleeper bed, so you don’t even have to leave if you don’t want to! Turn on the electric fireplace heater for a truly luxurious night!MASTER BEDROOM #1The Master Suite is the largest bedroom, boasting it’s own electric fireplace heater that creates the perfect ambiance for you and that special someone. Open the double French doors and walk out to your private balcony overlooking the water. We put some comfy chairs and a small table there to hold your wine and snacks. The reading nook has the most comfy recliner chair and overhead lamp for those times you just want to lose yourself in your favorite book. There’s plenty of closet and storage space for your belongings. We also have the portable pack and play there for your convenience.MASTER BATHRest easy knowing our master bathroom has been completely remodeled with brand new spa like vanity sink, new toilet, and new waterproof wood floors. We also added a standup shower with massage shower head.The other 3 bedrooms are smaller.KIDS ROOM BEDROOM #2Our kids room has twin bunk beds, a dresser and a bean bag.BEDROOM #3Queen bed, night stand with lamp and dresser inside closet.BEDROOM #4Queen bed, night stand with lamp and dresser inside closet.BATHROOM #2Full tile bathroom with shower, jet tub, and storage cabinet.BACK DECKAs you walk out of the kitchen door onto the back deck, the peaceful serenity of the surrounding trees, the water, and the dozens of string lights will definitely make this your favorite area. We put a lot of effort to make the back yard perfect for you and your family. On the back deck we have a big round table with seating for 4. As you walk down the stairs, you’ll find the kids playground off to your left. It has two regular swings, a baby swing, a slide and a small climbing wall. As you continue toward the pond, you’ll stop dead in your tracks as you realize there’s two more gathering areas, and you now must decide on which to choose!OPEN DECKTo the left you’ll see our open deck area inviting you in for a sit on the huge outdoor sectional. We have a sun sail above part of this deck for those really hot days that you need shade. There’s also electric outlets here for you. If you glance to the right, over the handrail, you’ll spot one of our favorite areas in the back yard, our……FIRE PIT/BBQInvite the entire family out for a night under the stars! Our fire pit area will have you never wanting to go back inside! We have a cozy round sofa there with a covered canopy for those intimate nights by the fire. There’s much more seating with a full size picnic table and plenty of chairs for all your guests. Don’t forget the Charcoal BBQ Grill for the grill master in the family. We included electrical outlets in this area for you also. And did I mention that all of this is only steps from the pond! This is absolutely the perfect space for a night making smores around the fire or cooking that perfect outdoor meal!Neighborhood DescriptionThe cabin is in a rural area on 3 acres, while it can feel very secluded, at times you will hear neighbors, animals, cars driving by, guns being shot, etc.We also have other units on the side and back of the property that we rent to other guests. We have done our best to separate each unit from the other, but you may still see them.Do a google search for nearby wineries, breweries and parks.There are over 30 wineries and breweries within 45 minutes of the cabin, with many less than 20 minutes drive. Restaurants and shopping 13 minutes drive away. I-95 is only 16 minutes away.ADDITIONAL RULES- Absolutely no smoking of anything on entire property(includes vaping).- Please remove shoes before entering home- No animals or pets of any kind allowed- No parties, events, business meetings of any kind without prior approval- no drugs allowed anywhere on property.- $500 FEE FOR SMOKING anywhere on the property to include outside the home.- $500 FEE FOR UNAUTHORIZED GUESTS or VEHICLES to include guests just “visiting and not staying the night”- $500 FEE FOR UNAUTHORIZED PARTIES OR EVENTS- $250 FEE FOR LATE CHECK OUT- $49 FEE PER PERSON PER DAY for every person in addition to 4 persons. Fee applies to every person older than 2 years old whether they stay the night or not. – VIOLATION of any house rule is grounds for IMMEDIATE CANCELLATION of your stay with us and FORFEITURE of your security deposit. – By reserving this property you agree that if any house rules are broken you will IMMEDIATELY VACATE the property, forfeit any refund for the remaining reservation, and forfeit your security deposit.
