Description
Work + play in this modern retreat featuring original architecture with updated amenities. The sunny bay windows flood the living room with light, while the rest of the space benefits from lofty ceilings and an open floor plan. The en suite bathroom has new tiled floor and backsplash, while the kitchen features a beautiful white quartz countertop with stainless appliances. The convenient location and free, private parking is really the cherry on top of this beautiful space! This building was originally constructed in 1866, the same year as the Great Fire of Portland. Luckily, this brick gem was just out of reach of the sprawling fire and has since remained in its original form. In 2019, we purchased the building and renovated the space to reflect our own taste while still honoring the building’s historic elements like the beautiful mantle, common staircase and original windows.Internet: Fast speeds with 100/mbps download and 10/mbps upload, router in-unit with extra ethernet cable.Entire space: The whole apartment is solely yours during your stay – kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom.Kitchen: stocked with everything you need to make a meal including plates, bowls, cups, glasses, silverware, pots/pans, cooking utensils and basics like olive oil, salt and pepper. Or if you’ve taken advantage of our foodie town, gone out to eat and brought home leftovers, the oven and microwave are there for your use. Coffee and tea are always available, although we do hope you get to try one of our favorite coffee shops nearby – Tandem and Holy Donut are our first choices.Living Room: This light-filled room is our favorite, complete with a cozy couch and a super soft and furry rug, great for laying out and stretching after a long day of walking around.Bedroom: New queen mattress (March 2021) with luxurious sheets, a collection of pillows to choose from (are you a flat pillow or plump pillow kind of person?), and walk-in closet. Have a hard time sleeping with any light at night? We include blackout curtains in the room. Always included in the room is a fan, with A/C unit in the warmer months. We want to make sure you can mimic the same sleeping arrangements you have at home so you always get a restful night’s sleep.Bathroom: Stocked with everything you need including fresh towels, wash cloths, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Plenty of hand soap and TP, too!Walk-in closet: There is a desk in here, perfect for a little more privacy and peace + quiet. There is an overhead light and electrical outlet in this room, so all you need to bring is your laptop!Parking: Free, private parking included. You never have to worry about parking on the street when you stay with us, no one scratching your car or blocking you in. With your own dedicated spot in our lot, you can relax knowing that your car is safe and out of view. Portland is an extremely safe city, but it’s still nice to have that peace of mind.
