This peaceful, wooded hideaway featuers a private backyard waterfall and offers all the charm of rustic Vermont with updated touches in a beautifully designed space. 15 minutes from the ski mountain, 10 minutes from Stowe’s downtown shops + restaurants, and just minutes from Trapp Family Lodge + 44,000 acres of state forest hiking trails.————————————THE PROPERTYOur home is nestled on a rolling knoll, amidst 12 private acres of sugarbush and a falling brook that runs right through our back woods.On the main floor, picture windows let in abundant light and frame valley views. The living area includes a fully-equipped kitchen with new appliances, a cozy wood-burning stove, an entertainment center with a Smart TV that turns into art when not in use, and two built-in workstations perfect for remote office setups. Comfortable seating and a Sonos sound system are featured throughout the house, plus a record player in the living room if vinyl is more your thing.Upstairs you’ll find two bedrooms complete with queen-sized beds and luxury linens. Cozy up in the primary bedroom’s cushioned reading nook or get productive at the second bedroom’s extra writing desk. The upstairs bathroom has a rainfall shower head and bluetooth-enabled speaker fan that offers mood lighting.Head outdoors to sip your morning coffee on our wraparound porch, grill and enjoy meals in the open-air dining setup, lounge on one of our sun chaises, or enjoy an evening of s’mores by the fire pit. The Nebraska Valley is one of Stowe’s true hidden gems, perfectly off the beaten path but close enough to all of the area’s major attractions and sites.Next door to us is the Nebraska Knoll Sugar Farm, which has been tapping sugar maple trees in the foothills of Mt. Mansfield—including the trees in our backyard—for decades. Walk over for a free tasting and tour, where you can learn how the sugaring process works, explore the evaporator room where sap is boiled, and purchase the finest syrup Vermont has to offer.And if shopping and dining is more you’re thing, we’re only a ten minute drive to Mountain Road and Main Street so you can still enjoy the amazing perks that our quintessential resort town has to offer.————————————IMPORTANT NOTES1) From December through March, 4WD or AWD is highly recommended to access our property. Our home is situated at the top of a gravel road and driveway, which can present challenges for 2WD vehicles during the winter months.2) Note that, due to our secluded setting, we have limited cellular service. Our WiFi signal extends well beyond our house, but you will likely lose cellular service upon your entry into the Nebraska Valley. To mitigate any communication challenges, we recommend toggling on the “Wi-Fi calling” feature on your mobile device. This feature allows you to make and receive calls and texts over a Wi-Fi network, ensuring you can stay connected even in areas with weak or no cellular signal.3) To ensure the safety and security of our property, we’ve added an outdoor security camera beneath the porch to the right of the front door.
