I have always loved the Arkansas River Valley and have been coming here since I was a little kid with my family. The valley has long been recognized as a place of abundance, beauty and healing. Cottonwood Hot Springs just up the road were revered by the indigeneous people as a healing sanctuary, and met there for treaties and to peacefully settle their differences. Zebulon Pike and his exploration party were saved from starvation upon finding the valley full of buffalo Christmas eve 1806. This place is good medicine.Today you may find the same kind of therapeutic benefits, abundance, adventures and beauty. Still your mind by walking the trails or fishing the gold metal waters just 10 minutes out of the door. Get into that flow state paddling The Numbers and Browns Canyon or carving lines in the powder at Monarch and Cooper. Bike Trails and Hiking are here for every level of capability.And you can bring your dog. There is a dog run on the property and an off leash dog park a couple hundred yards away. Your dog is welcome IF they are 100% housebroken non destructive and not excessive barkers. If you have doubts, please board your furry friend and spare yourself the drama. Dogs are not to be left alone in the condo or run.
