Escape the crowds without having to drive far to enjoy the peace and quiet of Seal Cove, Western Mountain hiking, and other restful spots, all with a ten-minute drive to Southwest Harbor’s sweet village center with a nice variety of shops and restaurants.Modern amenities, sun porch, back deck, furnished “party barn” with wet bar; ice maker, sink, and plenty of glassware for entertaining.FIRST FLOOR: Enter from the driveway to a large open Kitchen with counter seating for four, small breakfast table for two, large pantry, and doors to a back deck overlooking the back yard. Just beyond the Kitchen is an intimate sitting area for reading, watching TV, or socializing with the cook during meal prep. Doors from this space lead to a three-season screened in porch for outdoor dining and relaxation. Down a short hall, one finds a large laundry closet and three Bedrooms. The spacious Primary Bedroom features a King Bed, amazing closet system and an en suite Full Bath with double vanity and walk-in tile and glass shower. Bedroom 2 and Bedroom 3 (not pictured) each contain a queen bed with large closets, and shared access to a Full Bath with combined tub and shower (not pictured but consistent with the Primary en suite Full Bath). To the left of the main entry, a short hallway leads past a small Turret Room for either work or relaxation, a Half Bath, and to the “Party Barn” just beyond. Built on the site of the original barn, this commodious room features high cathedral ceilings and post and beam construction, plus a wet bar, ice maker, sink, and plenty of glassware for entertaining. A magnificent harvest table serves as the dining table for up to 8, possibly more. A large screen TV and comfortable seating for all creates a relaxing space, all highlighted by floor to ceiling windows overlooking yard and wooded hills beyond.SECOND FLOOR: Stairs lead to a small sitting room overlooking the kitchen, a second Turret Room, and a lofted area with Twin Beds.* Please note: a garage and small guest house are on the property. The guest house may or may not be occupied by the homeowner during your stay, but your privacy is ensured as the two residences are oriented away from each other and have no direct views from one to the other.*1-2 dogs are considered on a case by case basis. The pet fee is $125 per pet and a pet policy applies. Owners will consider dogs that get along well with other dogs (due to other rental property on premises) and must be crated if/when left alone in the house.
