Cranberry harvest typically happens over 1-2 days at the end of October or early November. This is weather dependent and so while we cannot guarantee that the harvest will occur on a specific date, book a stay and try your luck to witness this amazing piece of local culture. Please note, our bog workers use equipment that is over 100 years old and use a method called “dry harvesting.”If you cannot visit in the fall, each season offers a unique experience at the Bog. Come in January when the temperatures are below freezing to enjoy winter solitude at the Bog. Springtime brings native birds and flowers, while in the summer enjoy warm evenings outside enjoying the calm serenity.
