Description
New! The French Connection – Stay On the Water!Fun, fabulous, and unique! We invite you to enjoy a very memorable stay on The French Connection, a gorgeous yacht that will be docked on Betsie Lake at East Shore Marina between downtown Frankfort and Elberta. Includes 2 comfy bedrooms, living area, kitchen, dining table, and outdoor seating on deck. Features Wi-Fi, streaming television with Roku, air conditioning, and heating! This provides a truly fun and unique getaway to fantastic Frankfort while sleeping on the water!(1) Please note that the boat MUST REMAIN DOCKED AT ALL TIMES! IT IS NOT TO BE DRIVEN ANYWHERE BY GUESTS!(2) Since it’s a boat, staying on it does require a reasonable level of agility and dexterity. It is also possible to fall off into the water, so basic swimming ability is required. The boat may not be suitable for young children and/or elderly individuals given these aspects of being on a boat. The location of the boat is wonderful in that, in addition to being on the water, it is only about one-half of a mile from the start of downtown Frankfort and it is only about 1.5 miles from the boat to Frankfort Public Beach on Lake Michigan. With the bike trail, it is a scenic and pleasant walk or bike ride from the boat to downtown Frankfort and the beach. Downtown Frankfort features a wonderful and very family-friendly array of shops, restaurants, and cafes as well as Stormcloud Microbrewery and the beautiful and historic Garden Theater. There is an abundance of natural beauty in the area with much of it residing publicly in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. This large and beautiful national lakeshore features incredible views of Lake Michigan from pristine dunes, miles upon miles of hiking trails, and extremely fun kayaking, tubing, paddle boarding, and/or canoeing excursions on the scenic Platte River. The start of Sleeping Bear Dunes is only about 10 miles north of this vacation home along beautiful M22, which itself provides for a great time driving up through the Leelanau Peninsula and exploring the charming little beach towns along the way.If bigger city activities are desired, downtown Traverse City is only about a 1-hour drive from the property. Traverse City is the economic, cultural, and entertainment hub for all of northern Michigan and features a vast abundance of charming shops, great restaurants, and wonderful nightlife and entertainment.Entering the boat you are welcomed by a seating area that acts as the foyer to your lower cabin living space. Enter through the French doors (mind your head!) and feel the tranquility of this well appointed yacht. With its spacious living room complete with a mini pullout sectional(sleeps one) and swivel chair, there is plenty of room for a little gathering around the television. Step down into the kitchen/dining area where you’ll find a full kitchen complete with all of your necessary cooking utensils and cutlery. There is room for everyone at the dining table which conveniently turns into a cozy little bed when needed (sleeps one adult or two children). The Forward Cabin has a double bed with a television and is connected to the half bath. Heading to the Aft Cabin you’ll find a double bed with ample closet space and a full en suite bath. To the crows nest we go! Up here you’ll find the cockpit where you can play acting Captain and enjoy the views of the marina, Betsie Lake, Elberta, and Frankfort. It is recommended that guests have a car. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ARE GUESTS ABLE TO USE THE BOAT FOR TRANSPORTATION PURPOSES.
