New open apartment at the top of easy-access spiral stairs, private, and quiet located in the forest and a short walk to the sea. It features a balcony facing eastward, a queen size bed, and futon to sleep an additional two people. Also included is a kitchenette with a small refrigerator, hot-plate, and microwave. There is a full bath with fresh towels, hot shower, and a dining area which includes a pine table with benches.The apartment is in a separate building adjacent to owners’ house. It is eco-friendly with solar thermal panels providing a majority of the hot water and heating year-round. The frame is sawn from trees off the land. We are located 5 minutes drive from downtown Blue Hill which offers a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, clothing boutique, art galleries, and hiking trails. It is within 45 minutes of Acadia, 25 minutes of Deer Isle, Stonington and an hours drive from Bangor International Airport.Directions:We are located 3/4 of a mile down Falls Bridge Rd on Huckleberry Lane, a groomed dirt road on the right. In the Summer months, there are abundant edible berry bushes and native wild flowers. A glacial erratic will meet you at the head of 65 Huckleberry Lane.outdoor picnic area
