The park is bordered by The Citadel, a military college campus with archives and a museum. Local sports fans watch the Charleston RiverDogs minor league baseball team at Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park or the Citadel Bulldogs football team nearby. Casual eateries and bars dot Rutledge Avenue.Getting Around:By foot: Some of the best Charleston offerings are in walking distance.
