If your cars are too long or you need parking for a 3rd car, an additional space can be rented from the next door neighbor for $10/day.• Dog-friendly for up to two dogs! We have a 50-pound weight limit per dog and all dogs must be approved prior to check-in. The pet fee is $250. You are renting one unit on the property – not the entire property.• The pool is heated in cooler/colder months. Please note that a heated pool is not as hot as a hot tub. While the pool heater is sufficient to heat the pool throughout the majority of the winter, it will generally not be able to properly heat the pool if the temperature drops below 50 degrees.• There are a few steps from the parking area down to the elevator.Neighborhood Overview:Ocean Lookout is centrally located approximately halfway down the island and is a quick drive to all of the island’s best dining and shopping.Within a mile or two, you can enjoy dining and live music at The Surf or Slider’s, or ice cream from several local treat spots.To the north, you will find Main Beach which features the Salt Life and Sandbar Kitchen restaurants, a playground, and beachside putt putt golf. From there, Amelia Island’s downtown historic district is just a short drive down Atlantic Avenue. There you will find plenty of wonderful restaurants, shopping, nightlife and local culture. Fort Clinch State Park is also located along Atlantic Avenue. The park features the 19th century Fort Clinch (still open to the public for tours), a great beach, and lots of beautiful trails for hiking or biking.The South end of the island boasts several wonderful restaurants, the Ritz and Omni resorts, a picturesque canopy biking trail, and charming local boutiques. We recommend checking out the Ritz spa if you are looking for a relaxing treat!Getting Around:Amelia Island is a small area and is easy to navigate! There is free parking available throughout the entire island, making driving very easy to any place you choose to visit.Although Uber/Lyft are not very reliable on the island (we strongly recommend bringing a car), they are available through the app on your smartphone.Bike rentals are available at “The Beach Store” located 1 mile north of Ocean Lookout.
