Description

Treat yourself to a private getaway for a week on Lake Winnipesaukee at this rustic waterfront lodge. Relax in seclusion on the expansive dock while enjoying over 500 feet of lake frontage and some of the best views of the Belknap and Gunstock mountains. While you take in the views and the sun with a cold drink, the kids can play basketball right on the dock! Bring your boat (up to 25 feet in length) to the nearby public launch or rent from the local marina and tie up under the covered boathouse. There is also some great fishing right off the dock. The front of the house overlooks the lake with a flagstone patio with stainless gas grill and large picnic table. Entry into the sand-bottom waterfront is from the ladder on the dock where you can take a swim out to the raft while the kids snorkel for clams at the bottom of the lake. Located centrally on the lake, it is an easy boat ride to Center Harbor, Meredith or Weirs Beach where you can enjoy dining at one of the Lakes Region’s fine lakeside restaurants.Enter the house through a huge screened porch perfect for your morning coffee, lunch out of the sun, or just relaxing and conversing while enjoying the lake view and nature around you. The living room’s grand open ceiling to the second floor, large field stone fireplace and traditional lodge woodwork harken back to the relaxed living of days gone by. There is a half bathroom on the main level next to the first floor bedroom that is furnished with bunk beds. The rental comes complete with TV and Wi-Fi and a private office for any necessary business while you are away. Finishing off the first floor is an eat-in kitchen fully equipped with both large and small appliances. Lastly, the formal dining room is a great place to recant tales from the day as you enjoy dinner and keep an eye out for the Mount Washington that cruises by around dusk. After dinner, make sure to make your way down to the dock for some amazing sunsets.Heading upstairs you will find 4 additional spacious bedrooms, two furnished with king beds overlooking the lake and two furnished with queen beds. Upstairs you will also find one full and one-half bathroom. There are window A/C units in the 2 bedrooms with king beds, the dining room, and the living room. Use of the fireplace is off-limits.
