Description
My historic building was built in the 1950’s and has clean character and ambiance. Walking distance to Whole Foods/Publix, fabulous restaurants, diverse shopping options, performance theaters, movie theaters, nightlife, public transport, boat/water activity rentals, parks, spas, and a short distance to the beach or airport. You’ll love my place. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. I have lots of regulars who come back time and time again. This apartment has a full kitchen and is located in the center of the building with north facing windows and lots of skylights. The bed is a queen. The floors are original hardwood with area rugs. There are two closets. The kitchen has all the things you need. We provide towels and bedding. There is heat and air, Cable TV and internet. The Burns Square area is a unique historic area, When the downtown was designed the building marked the entrance into downtown from the wealthier residential section of Sarasota. First Street was located here in the 1920’s and a train ran down S. Pineapple Avenue. It was designed by the same architect that designed John Ringling’s home and the Sarasota Court House, Dwight Baum. Most of the original character is still to be found in the building. There are several restaurants, lots of space, shopping, bike rentals, yoga studio, and an independent movie theater – the Burns Court Cinema right in the neighborhood. This is the nicest and safest mixed-use neighborhood in the city, historic buildings, south of Main Street and nestled between historic high-end Laurel Park neighborhood, Palm Avenue and Hudson Bayou with unique shops, restaurants, spas, independent movie theater or Hollywood 20 five blocks away, close to Whole Foods or Publix food shopping. Close to beautiful walking routes, parks, botanical gardens, and transportation to both Siesta Key or Lido Key beaches. We are centrally located so getting around is easy and you can walk to almost everything but by car is easy too. There is a bus stop outside just 50 feet away and the Main Bus SCAT stop is next to Whole Foods, just 5 blocks away. Sarasota has UBER and Cabs. There is also a bike rental just 100 feet away and boat rentals about three blocks away. The SRQ Sarasota Bradenton Airport airport is only 5 miles away.
