Per city ordinance, for stays of 30 DAYS OR LESS there is a 14% transient occupancy tax charged by VRBO and remitted directly to the city of Los Angeles. For stays of 31 days or more there is NO occupancy tax charged as these do not fall under the ‘short term rental’ classification. Please note that the property owner does NOT receive monies for occupancy tax or security deposit which are held and disbursed by VRBO. Per Los Angeles City Home Sharing Code – Two Palms guests will be given a “Code of Conduct” which will include information on safety and security requirements as well as good-neighbor principles.
