Just across from Ft.DeRussy Park and a block from Hilton Hawaiian Village beachfront. Surrounding Hawaiian Monarch is the Ala Wai Canal which is a popular canoe paddlers waterway and flanked on Kalakaua Ave leads to many shops, Food Trucks and other eateries!The beach is approximately 10minute stroll straight through Fort DeRussy Park (lots of trees and tropical fauna) as you head between Hilton Hawaiian Village and Hale Koa Hotel to Waikiki Beach (bathroom located there along with the Hilton Hawaiian Village property).The Neighborhood:Ft.DeRussy park is a military recreation park and open to the public. It has a pedestrian friendly pathway that goes thru lots of tropical plants and trees.
