Originally built and designed for our own family, this unique and beautiful home on Pierce Pond truly is a “dream” home. It is situated on the edge of one of the most peaceful ponds in Downeast Maine. Shared with loons, herons, bald eagles and jumping wide mouth bass, Pierce Pond is one of the few bodies of fresh water that is not lined with camps and houses! And it’s also close to the magnificent coast. In 10 short minutes you can be in downtown Blue Hill or Castine and a ½ mile walk takes you to Northern Bay on the Penobscot coast.First Level:As you enter, you will immediately capture the incredible views. The open floor plan has a large custom kitchen with granite tile countertop, stainless steel appliances and breakfast bar/island. A fieldstone fireplace graces the living room and two large sliders open up the living and dining room to the covered wrap-around porch.
