In the summer months, guests have access to a heated saltwater pool, bask in the sun under a majestic maple tree, and enjoy the outdoor fire pit while stargazing at night.Located in Westchester County, the renovated guesthouse is part of the remaining homestead of a 200-year-old dairy farm, worked by the same family for over 11 generations.The moment you step out of your car you will see why this place is so special. We hope that you will enjoy it just as much.@sweetbriarguesthouseThe open plan guesthouse consists of 2 separate living rooms, a dining area, a kitchen, a side hallway leading to a full bathroom, and a sunny ground floor bedroom.A wall of picture windows provides a peaceful view of the surrounding meadow and trees from the main living and dining area. The L-shaped seating takes advantage of the window view and the large wood-burning stove, stocked with ample firewood. Selectively appointed with photographs, prints, and art objects; this is the perfect spot to relax for the evening or cuddle up on a chilly winter night.Separated from the main living area by the kitchen and side hallway, the second living room features additional seating and a leather sofa facing a large internet-connected TV. With 2 separate sitting areas, you can relax with a book beside the wood-burning stove while kids watch TV.The well equipped kitchen has everything you need for cooking at home, including new appliances (induction stove top, Vitamix), dishes, and utensils, with kid-friendly items for young children, while your coffee needs are well taken care of by a Nespresso machine and pods, drip coffee maker, and a french press – just bring your favorite beans for the grinder.Eat at the breakfast nook, or soak in the morning light at the large oak dining table which has enough space for everyone to gather around and enjoy a big breakfast spread or celebratory dinner.The private outdoor dining area and fire pit await on the far side of the guesthouse, offering seclusion from the main house and pool area. A propane grill and string lights will help make for memorable evening meals.The three bedrooms and queen size pull out sleeper sofa comfortably sleep 7 people. The master bedroom features a king-size bed, with a seating area and a Juliet balcony opening to a view of the pool – if you’re lucky you may even spot our resident groundhog when he sneaks out for an early morning breakfast. A skylight in the ceiling of the other upper floor bedroom gives a view of the stars, far from light pollution, while you drift off to sleep and creates a sunny brightly lit room during the day.The guesthouse features 2 full-size bathrooms stocked with Aēsop shower products, bidet toilets, with a full-size shower on the ground floor and a bath/shower in the upper floor bathroom.The upper floor utility room comes equipped with a full-size washer and dryer, to meet all your laundry needs.The guesthouse has a high-speed internet connection; working from home, zoom calls, or streaming on multiple devices is not a problem. Wifi extenders provide a strong signal throughout the guesthouse. External wifi extends the service to both the outdoor dining and pool areas.The salt water pool is 20’x40′ in size, and is heated throughout the summer months.An EV charger is located by the 3 parking spots dedicated for guests.Whole Foods, Fresh Direct, Grubhub and Uber Eats deliver here.We are located 10 minutes from Bedford NY, Ridgefield CT, Scotts Corners NY, Waccabuc NY and South Salem NY.
