(20 minute drive to Tybee Island ~ Savannah’s Beach).PARKING:Parking is free on Jones Street after 5 p.m. on weekdays and also complimentary all day on Saturdays/Sundays and most major holidays. Otherwise, parking is not free and you will see parking meters, which are enforced. There is also a parking deck close to the penthouse. Once you enter the foyer, there is an additional set of stairs to get to the penthouse door. Once you open the penthouse door, you are in the foyer and there is an additional set of stairs to gain full access to Savannah Peach Penthouse. The row house comprises the four properties between 102 and 111 West Jones Street and was completed in 1853. It is a contributing property of the Savannah Historic District, itself on the National Register of Historic Places. In the mid-19th century, the property was documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey as being significant for its representation of mid-19th-century Savannah row houses, particularly due to its high stoops. Mr. William Remshart was a real estate investor and lived in this row house with his 17 children.
