Pirate’s Cove is a private, gated island with a 24 hours manned guard shack at the entrance. The island is situated between Manteo and Nags Head and surrounded by the Roanoke Sound.Spread out in four bedrooms and 3 full baths plus an outdoor shower. Master bedroom has a jetted tub and a private deck.Included with your stay is free access to the Pirate’s Cove community pool (seasonal), Pirate’s Cove hot tub (seasonal), tennis courts, playground, clubhouse, and fitness center. Daily activities for children and adults are provided by Pirate’s Cove recreation staff Memorial Day through Labor Day and over spring break.Enjoy high-speed internet and televisions in every bedroom.Child-friendly -high chair, pack and play, baby monitor (sound only), and built-in gate on the back deck to keep the little ones at bay. Large yard for playing with the kids.Large deck with gate and deck chairs. Enjoy eating on the deck with the large picnic table. Watch the boats coming in and the dolphin swimming by the house.Private dock with built-in seating and lighting. Fish and crab right off the dock. Swim ladder on the dock during summer (please no diving). Fishing tips provided upon request!Cook at home in the well-equipped kitchen or use the Weber gas grill. If you prefer to eat out, there are dozens of restaurants to choose from in Manteo or Nags Head just a mile or so away. Recommendations provided upon request!Bring your boat and use the 30′ boat slip in the canal system across from the house. Parking for your trailer is available underneath the house (if it will fit). Otherwise, the trailer will have to be stored offsite. Or, book a charter out of Pirate’s Cove full-service marina.It is a short drive over to the ocean (one mile). There is easy public parking for a trip to the ocean.Pirate’s Cove has miles of lighted docks throughout the community perfect for walking, jogging, crabbing, fishing or watching the sunset over the sound.The driveway allows for four vehicles, depending on the size. This assumes no boat trailer.You are renting directly from the owner, not a rental agency. Short stays (minimum three nights) will be considered upon request. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. Family groups only, please. When making your inquiry, please list the number of adults and minor children in your group. Finally, please note that the house is not held for you until payment is made. For certain weeks, we often get multiple inquiries that require a prompt response and payment from our guests to avoid losing the house.
