The heated and well lit “promenade” walkway wraps around the ski area base to provide you with easy strolling throughout. Special events happen a lot here in ski season, from national ski races to the Cowboy Downhill, the Cardboard Classic, and Splashdown Pond Skim. There’s a lot going on besides great skiing, and that’s just winter.Every spring, the snow melts away to reveal Burgess Creek, which flows right past the Creekside building and through the base area. Expansive grassy fields and even a couple of beaches surround the creek, which has a controlled flow of water that is attracts families and kids to splash and play. Don’t worry, let them get dirty and wet. Remember you have that washer and dryer right in the condo! The number of activities in the summer surpasses the winter by far. There are still free concerts, balloon glows, and mountain coaster rides to enjoy, but so much more. You can walk out your door and hike or mountain bike right into the Routt National Forest. Take a scenic ride up the Gondola up and start your hiking or biking from there, enjoy a lunch some drinks at the top with unmatched panoramic views. Art shows and brewery festivals are a couple that attract lots of people to the ski area base. The private shuttle is only available in ski season, but the free city bus can also get you around town, and it runs year round, with a stop less than 50 yards from the front desk.Come see why this condo, this development, and this location is so special.
