120 year old stone home in the woods with a seasonal view of the Northern ridgeline. This is a No Smoking home that’s situated on 90 acres. Its a secluded private location, not far from several towns such as Beacon, Cold spring, Carmel and Mahopac that have all your necessities. Miles upon miles of hiking trails begin just 2 miles to the west in Fahnestock State Park which also has summer boat rentals, beach and a winter park for snow activities such as xcountry skiing, sledding and snowshoeing. There is some limited snowshoeing on property when the conditions permit. There is No hiking permitted on the property during Hunting season Sept 15-Dec 31However public trails are very close.Located in the Historic Hudson Valley you are close to many actvities including, Breakneck Mountain, Historic Cold Spring, Beacon, Bear Mountain State Park, Westpoint Military Academy, Thunder Ridge skiing, Ninham Mountain, White Pond Multiple Use Areas, and the Hudson Highlands State Park. Other nearby attractions include Chuang Yen Monastery, Boscobel, Glynwood Gardens, Constitution Marsh and Breakneck Ridge. Lost in the Woods is a great place to unwind, read, write, relax outdoors or indoors.
