It is also not CHILD friendly as this camper is a classic 1973 Bonanza Pinto which is a rarity and old vintage parts are extremely difficult to locate.Enjoy the sounds of the country as you settle into this quaint little camper we call, “Sweet Tea”. She’s tucked away on 2 acres of sacred land known as Woodlands Hollow.Nature, Privacy and Glamping in a ’73 Bonanza are a rare find with a queen size memory foam mattress. Climb into the gypsy bed for a dreamy nights sleep on soft, comfy linens and blankets. The decor is shabby chic like walking into an antique shop, so let it take you back in time. The KITCHENETTE has a mini retro fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, and breakfast station. You will always find homemade sweet tea in the fridge on arrival. In the cupboards, you will find minimal kitchen needs (plates, cups, and utensils). For OUTDOOR COOKING, there is a gas grill for preparing all of your tasty dishes. We ask that ALL cooking be done outdoors, not in the camper. This is a “GLAMPING experience” and preparing meals in close quarters would be a recipe for a hot mess in the kitchen. There is a great outdoor dining set for you to enjoy your meals in the tranquil forest or on the porch of the SHE SHED located a short distance from the campsite. You also have access to a firepit near the dining area. We do provide wood for the first fire light. Please do not burn trash in the firepit. Make sure you bring your weekend bag, toiletries and your favorite beverages. There is a Dollar General 2 minutes away, but the nearest grocery store is about 8 miles down the road.We will include inside the camper, a binder full of our favorite local spots, such as fun breweries, restaurants, and local activities. The Midlands are known for great outdoor adventures like hiking, biking and kayaking as well as the WECO River District, Cayce Arts District, The Vista, and Five Points. Not to mention local artsy, hippie and metaphysical shops like Palms to Palmettos in West Cola!FUN FACT:Our property is located in the Sandy Run Community off the beaten path, near Columbia, SC. We have chosen to name our camper “Sweet Tea” because it was first commercially grown in South Carolina in the late 1700s. It was brought in by way of French botanist, Andre Michaux who planted it near Charleston at Middleton Barony, known today as Middleton Place. As of April 10, 1995, “Sweet Tea” is now known as South Carolina’s Official Hospitality Beverage after a ratified Bill H3487 was amended. You will always get a complimentary glass of sweet tea upon arrival.Guest accessGuest have a complete and private access to the campsite. The Host Home is located on the property and the backyard is shared. However, we will not disturb your stay. Though if you need anything, we are just a text away. Also, please drive slow though the property because our outdoor WELCOME COMMITEE of one….”Stevie”, the cat, loves to greet you.Other things to noteWe are an artsy, holistic family and enjoy having guests who bring positive light into the world. We welcome all people who are respectful of others and our sacred space.SIDE NOTES:For your safety, we have a NO candle, NO smoking or vape policy. We do ask that all food items be placed in the refrigerator and all scraps/trash be put in the designated trash bins. We do have wildlife that would love to have your leftovers.
