Spring offers amazing wildflowers, summer is when Phoenix comes here to the mountains for cooler weather, , fall is beautiful & winter offers snow but not too much. All seasons are great times to visit the Prairie!Drive along beautiful Garland Prairie Road amidst majestic Ponderosa Pines on your way to the farm. You will be WOWED as you can view Elk and Antelope! You can also walk to the ORIGINAL Homestead from this rural prairie! Just 30 minutes away from historic Williams, Route 66 and Grand Canyon Railway (A 2 hour one-way ride straight to the Grand Canyon with a Wild West show on the way). You will also be only 30 minutes away from beautiful downtown Flagstaff for shopping. Fish at nearby lakes in the summer and ski on Williams mountain in the winter. Visit Bearizona, where you can drive through more than 3 miles of North American animals in natural habitats or take a walk in their “zoo” type setting. There is also a NEW sledding area and mountain rollercoaster!! So much to do!!!! So much fun to have!!!!Our 1500 sq ft Ranch style home is surrounded on 3 sides by National Forest, beautifully decorated and updated with spectacular 360 degree views of ponderosa pine covered mountains, including San Francisco Peak! Two of the bedrooms have an adjoining shared bathroom. One with a Double/twin bunk and the other with two twins. The master has a King bed and on-suite.On the property you can enjoy a BBQ, and a 2 mile round-trip walk to the historic homestead from our home. There is a Stock pond on the property which Herons, Ducks and other wildlife have been known to visit from time to time. Please enjoy the scenery but don’t get wet.You will feel like you are far away “from it all” but are really only 7.5 miles from Highway 40 easily accessed by a forest service well- maintained road.
