Description

Quiet & cozy ocean-side hideaway. Pet friendly!Welcome to Spruce Cove, our intimate, rustic, end-of-the-road-cottage settled at the top of Muscongus Bay where you share the solitude with a resident blue heron, bald eagles, and the occasional seal. With access to tidal swimming right in your front yard, this is a perfect place to unwind and relax. Read in the hammock, bike, and explore the mid-coast – just 25 minutes to Rockland and Camden. Enjoy a cozy fire indoor or out or read on the porch overlooking the cove. There are numerous hiking trails right on property as well. We live within an hour and are happy to accommodate any needs or questions you may have. We provide a filtered water for drinking water during your stay. What does rustic mean, some ask? Well, it is a cottage and only half-insulated. The main part can get warm during the day (we provide fans). We have had signs of mice in the past, although none recently. The cottage sits at the bottom of a ledged outcropping and water access can be difficult for people with mobility issues. The drive in is on a private cottage association road with a steep grade towards the end – be prepared to take it slow!
