Originally the caretaker home for a prominent Savannah estate, this carriage house provides all modern amenities while immersing you in Savannah’s historical past. Enjoy beautiful touches like original hardwood floors, a custom kitchen, built-in bookshelves, and more. Minutes to Forsyth Park. 17 minutes to SAV International.SVR-02598The Space:Enter the carriage house through the manor’s private entrance on Drayton Street. Also enjoy entrances located in a shared courtyard filled with greenery, washed brick, and an elegant fountain. Enter using your door code and step directly into the quaint living space featuring a small sofa, an original wood-burning fireplace, and beautiful built-in bookshelves.Directly connected to the living room is a fully custom kitchen featuring floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, granite countertops, and a peninsula island set for two. The kitchen provides you with all the essentials you need to cook, including pots, pans, cooking utensils, and more. A coffee maker, microwave, toaster, and blender ensure you have everything you need.Connected to the living space by beautiful French doors is the primary bedroom. This smaller room is incredibly cozy, providing a brand-new queen mattress with fresh linens accentuated by natural light pouring in through three large windows. Built-in cabinets, a closet, and a nightstand provide ample storage space for extended stays.Atop the staircase is the unit’s single bathroom featuring a shower/tub combination with a single vanity and toilet. The bathroom provides all essentials, including towels, toilet paper, shampoo, body wash, and a hair dryer.Travel down the staircase to the street-level floor of the carriage house, where you will find an oversized pull-out sofa and a large smart TV ready to stream popular services. The couch pulls out into a comfortable full mattress, and we provide extra linens for the bed. Enjoy a private entrance that leads out to the manor’s courtyard.Are you working remotely during your stay? We provide free high-speed WIFI, perfect for video conferencing and multitasking. Both TV’s come equipped with YoutubeTV that we offer for free!Guest Access:The entire main parlor level of the house is for your use. You may use the upstairs deck as well as the courtyard, just know that the courtyard is the one shared space on the property that is shared between all 3 units.The Neighborhood:Located on east Gordon St., a quiet coble stone road, you will be in the heart of Savannah but enjoy a reprieve from the bustling downtown. Residing just one city block north of Forsyth park, you can take full advantage of peaceful morning walks through one of Savannah’s staple destinations. Enjoy the greenspaces of Monterey Square and Calhoun Square, all just minutes from your doorstep.With a stay at the manor, you have ample choices for dining and entertainment. Grab a casual meal at the trendy Collins quarter at Forsyth or enjoy some fine southern dining at 700 Drayton Restaurant. Looking for that downhome restaurant with all of the southern hospitality you desire? Stop into Mrs. Wilke’s Dining Room just northwest of the home.History abounds throughout Savannah, and the local neighborhood is no exception. Additionally, there is The Downtowner which is a City-ran “uber” just download the app and they will pick you up for free! Aside from that, we recommend using Uber/Lyft to get where you need. If you find free parking near the apartment, stay there! You can walk to just about anything in the City! :)Other Things to Note:This is the apartment above the garage, or “Carriage House” that’s connected to 2 other units via the courtyard. This is the only shared space on the property. It’s up to guests if they want to use that space or not. We recommend using the Park Savannah app to pay the City meters. The meter numbers are typically by your rear left tire by the white line, and you can plug that into the app and pay hourly.
