Description

Enjoy a memorable visit when you stay in this unique cozy home. Both rustic and refined with exposed stone walls and modern amenities. We are located directly across from the train tracks and the Potomac River. Great for train enthusiasts and kids. Be prepared to see and hear the excitement when trains go by. Very sensitive sleepers may want to take this into consideration! The house sits on a scenic byway that has, just a short distance up the road, beautiful river views and a breathtaking top of mountain vista (Maryland Heights) if you’re a pretty serious hiker. The road trails along the river with the lesser seen opening of The Harpers Ferry train tunnel. This is also the very course John Brown traveled on his way to the armory raid. Knoxville was once a bustling town but suffered hardship when the train station moved to close by Brunswick. Some of the hardship is still evident in the area. The whole Harpers Ferry area is one of the fastest growing areas with Knoxville in particular burgeoning. The area has loads to offer with hiking, biking, tubing, rafting and kayaking or just taking a scenic walk on the tow path. There are vineyards and breweries close by and a few different venues with live music with great views of the river. The upper level of the property features a large open concept primary bedroom with a Queen size bed ,walk in closet and access to the upper balcony. Please see pictures of layout.A second bedroom with two twin beds and a full bathroom with tub.The lower level has a large dining room, Den, kitchen, half bath and laundry room. Two parking spaces are available in front of the garage and an extra spot in front of the house.
