Please note this does not have an en suite bathroom. The bathroom is located just down the hall.The Reynolda room is a spacious second-floor room filled with natural light and decorated in bright and cheery French Country Garden. It features a charming and comfortable antique, queen-size canopy bed featuring birds to match the garden theme, a comfortable chair for unwinding and a vanity for getting ready. There is also a remarkable yellow fireplace (non-operational) with original tile and cover from the early 1900s.The private bath awaits you and is only a few steps down the hall; it includes a tub/shower combination and pedestal sink. This room can become a two-room suite when joined with the Wachovia room, if you are traveling with family or friends.Built in 1907 as the private residence of Henry Fries Shaffner, the co-founder of Wachovia Loan and Trust, this extravagant Victorian-style mansion boasts Tiger oak hand-carved paneling, original coal-burning fireplaces, a grand staircase and priceless antiques. It is perfect for quiet nights away or corporate and private events. Located in downtown Winston-Salem, it is walking-distance to a multitude of the city’s best restaurants, bars and shops.The Shaffner has retained historic charm while expanding to include modern amenities such as free WiFi, 43″ smart, flat-screen TVs, alarm/clock and USB charging stations.
