Spend time strolling up and down the lane by the house, fishing in the private waters of a trophy trout stream, unwinding in the hot tub, gazing at a star-studded clear night, and bathing in the noises that surround this north Georgia retreat: tree frogs at night, the rush of the burbling creek 24/7 from the comfort of the screened porch. You deserve the rest-and-relaxation. We offer the ideal location that is secluded, yet not isolated from the amenities you need. Most Popular amenities… breathtaking beauty of the cabin location… floating and wading in a private stretch of a refreshing mountain stream… excellent fly fishing in a trophy trout stream by the cabin… Beautiful furnishings… Cozy, at home feel… hot tub for 5 (delightfully warm on cool spring and summer nights)… Wireless internet… 50 feet away from a burbling trout stream… affordable… lending library… OVER 250’private creek frontage on Mountaintown Creek,up-and-coming trophy trout stream in Georgia… convenient distance to servicesand local attractionsWe are a 15 minute drive off Interstate 515 in North Georgia, a 30 minute drive from Amicalola Falls State park, a 25 minute drive from Blue Ridge, a 15-20 minute drive from several apple orchards, 10 minute drive from the fabulous Ellijay Apple Festival, and no distance at all from one of the most beautiful sections of Mountaintown Creek. One cabin is next door to River Rest, the others are not visible from our property. There are no properties within sight across the creek from us, just beautiful undeveloped wooded land. All paved roads, up until the last mile before the cabin. Then, the road turns to gravel, but it is accessible for all types of vehicles. The air seems to feel just a little bit lighter and cooler, and the sleep is always much deeper and peaceful here. It’s a short 15-minute drive from the Ellijay square and local grocery, shopping, and dining options. The creek by the cabin is a TROUT fisher’s local pilgrimage site and flows like a gentle river: about 60 feet wide, 1 to 4 feet deep, and perfect for fly fishing, wading, and floating. Local ANGLERS call Mountain town Creek ‘one the most picturesque and beautiful trout streams in North Georgia and is quietly becoming one of the best trophy trout streams in the state.’Enjoy the beauty of a unique, Native American fish-trap in the Mountaintown creek on cabin property. In the morning, wake to a dip in the hot tub or creek, followed by a breakfast on the porch with brewed coffee, pancakes, syrup, and local apples. At night, wrap yourself in a cotton throw on the screened porch and listen to the burbling water. Tubes for floating are provided in season. This beautiful creek front cabin features unique, traditional décor and amenities. It is private, faces an undeveloped creekfront lot, seats 5 people, and is accessible from the deck with a great view of the creek.Last, and our favorite, the cabin has a small and growing ‘Lending LIBRARY.’ Need a book to read while you are here?
