Rocko’s Cottage Nestled in the Heart of Downtown Bar HarborRocko’s Cottage is located on a side street in the downtown area of the beautiful island town of Bar Harbor. We are pet friendly for your well mannered four legged friends. Rocko was actually our 7 lb Dorkie. (Dachshund/Yorkie)You will be within walking distance of over 25 restaurants ranging from fine dining to family fare. Bicycle rentals, kayaking trips, and unique shops galore are all just minutes away from your front door and yes we can tell you which of these places welcome pets. Walk the shore path or across a natural sand bar (actually a glacial deposit) to visit beautiful Bar Island. Never have to worry about parking your car or enjoying a cocktail and then driving.Rocko’s Cottage was built in 2005 and is tastefully and comfortably furnished. You will find everything that you need to enjoy your stay. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessities of life, and the linens are all in good condition. The open floor plan actually makes our cottage appear much larger inside. It must be noted that the bathroom does not have a tub but does have a nice 4 ft. shower and for your convenience there is a stackable washer and dryer. This is a great house and location for people that travel with pets or just one or two couples or a small family that want to stay in the heart of town. Once you visit us you will be sure to return again and again.We, the owners, live locally and we are always only a phone call away if there is a problem.
