There is a fully equipped chef’s kitchen with stainless steel appliance and designer china and glassware. 2 living rooms both have large fireplaces – one wood burning and the other gas and Smart HDTVs. The entry hall is a green house and a reading library with a smart HDTV. The play room has a ping pong table and numerous board games and a large smart HDTV. The dining room will seat 8 comfortably at the 2″ thick oak slab dining table overlooking the terrace dining and heated pool. There are 3 bedrooms – the king master bedroom has a private oversized marble bathroom with 2 sinks, large shower, and soaking tub all with polished nickel hardware. The second bedroom has either a king bed or two twins by guest choice plus a private bathroom. The third room with 2 trundle beds (4 twin-sized beds) is also the play room. All bedrooms have smart HDTVs, down feather beds, comforters, and pillows and Frette pressed cotton linens and bath robes and luxurious bath amenities.The pool is heated and sits off the granite dining terrace with gas barbecue. The 11 acres of grounds are magnificet blue grass lawns with a pond and distant mountain ridge views. The house has wifi and a generator.Roxbury & Washington are located in historic, rural Litchfield County, within a scenic 2-hour drive from NYC and is exceptional for its excellent restaurants, spas, antique shops, art galleries, boutiques, farms, historic homes, gardens, vineyards, distilleries, and orchards. The Gilmore Girls creator modeled Stars Hollow, the perfect Connecticut town, after Washington and the Independence Inn after the Mayflower Inn. It is the current or former home to many artists, writers, actors and Wall Street executives – referred to as “more Vermont, than Vermont” and “the un-Hamptons”. Nature preserves, Lake Waramaug, and the Shepaug River offer extensive hiking, biking, and water activities.
