Serenity Cove a private retreatGet away to the country to enjoy some Serenity!! Relax w/ the whole family at Serenity Cove. Stroll down to the dock and read a book or enjoy your morning coffee. Or simply just enjoy the Serenity this home has to offer. This home is suitable for 2 adults and 2 children. No animals allowed. Wake up to beautiful sunrises on the water, birds chirping and wildlife romping. Spend a peaceful day surrounded by water activities, getting your tan on, watching the kids play, fishing for some dinner, or if you brought your boat with you a tranquil boat cruise on the water way, jet skis will work too if you have them. Enjoy the mesmerizing sky lit with countless stars after watching the sunset. On our 100-acre parcel is Serenity Cove boasts a one bedroom, one bath open floor plan. Another offering is a very large deck for outdoor relaxation with a table and chairs to enjoy your meal in the fresh air. Under the deck is a concrete patio and in the yard is a fire pit. Located a short jaunt from Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, Busch Gardens, Water Country, the Virginia Capitol Trail, Great Wolf Lodge and a 5,217-acre wildlife refuge. Along with attractions, restaurants are close by with numerous options to your liking’s. Must love dogs, as we have two well behaved Great Danes. They play in our shared yard where you as our guest will be. We also have one outdoor kitty as well as two horses with the pasture that backs up to your back yard. We will share the yard and waterfront with you all. Our waterfront can be busy with tournament boats fishing for that bass, pan fish or a local neighbor who is out catching some catfish.Things to doHang out in the backyard & enjoy the fire pit or jump in the river and float your worries away!Go for a fun kayak ride, or paddleboard on the creek! Water toys available to use- 5, kayaks of different sizes, and 2 paddle boards, and multiple sized life jackets. Play at your own risk. After your work up an appetite, be sure to enjoy cooking dinner on the grill and hanging out w/ the family on the back deck as you watch the sunset or watch the horses graze in their pasture. Enjoy fishing on one of the 2 fishing docks and save time by parking your boat in the boat lift located just steps away from the house (contact host for more information on size), we also have two jet ski lifts you can put your skis on while your here. Boat launch also available on our property to launch your water toys. A short boat ride will take you out to the Chickahominy river which proceeds to the James. Multiple options for dining on the water are available, depending on how far you want to cruise. Or maybe enjoy one of the adirondack chairs looking towards the water, or the hammock to take a nap in.The SpaceThe main level has an open living room/kitchen, full bath (the bathroom has a dual vanity and a tub/shower combo), and the spacious primary bedroom with king bed and 65″tv, and plenty of storage for you to unpack your clothing and hang any necessary items in the extra-large walk-in closet where we have provided you with a few hangers, we also have a dresser for storage. There is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room.What we provideWe have provided sheets and blankets for both the King size bed and the Queen Sleeper sofa in the living room along with pillows, also we have provided guests with Bath towels for the use while they are here. We also provide 4 beach towels. You are responsible for any food, cleaning, paper products. We provide a single roll of toilet paper as well as a sample of cleaning items to get you started. There are quite a few grocery stores nearby for you to choose from. We do not get any deliveries out here for grocery delivery or food delivery. We provide pots and pans, plates and silverware and drinking cups. We provide a toaster, crock pot, small air fryer, and a Keurig coffee maker in the kitchen. We will provide you with the wifi password upon arrival. In the garage there is a half bath ready for use while outside playing, also we have the washer and dryer located there as well. We have for your use, 5 kayaks for adults and kids, 2, paddle boards, and life jackets to match for most sizes. We also have blackout curtains in the master bedroom.What is not allowed and Non-negotiableWe do not allow smoking/vaping in or on our premises at any time, if smoke damage is found inside the house/garage the fee will be $1500+ for cleaning. We do not allow animals of any kind and if found you will be asked to leave with no refund and an extra cleaning fee along with you being charged for any damages caused by your animal. We do not allow parties or more people other than who is listed on the reservation to be onsite, if found you will be asked to leave with no refund. You will be charged for any damages that happen during your stay.The yardOutside there is a fire pit area, a patio with table and chairs and lounge chair, a hammock in the trees, a kids swing, a sprawling yard to the docks and a boat launch. The upper area of the boat dock has a beautiful large sunning deck where you can go up with your towel and lay out in the sun and overlook the water, read a book or bird watch. We are an active farm with 2 horses, outdoor cat, and 2 Great Danes. If you love animals, then this is the place for you. We live on the property as well and will share the space with you. The yard is very spacious and open for kids to run around. Love running, no problem, we have just over a half mile gravel driveway that you can run to your hearts content. Watch for deer or foxes frolicking in the fields or look up to view one of our local eagles, osprey, or a red-tailed hawk, or maybe closer to the evening you just might be able to hear an owl hooting.Guest accessThe door to the upstairs apartment is in the side of the Carriage House.The apartment is located directly above a 3-car garage, which you will have full access to, this is where the water toys are located along with the life jackets. You enter to a mud room and proceed up the staircase to the living area. NOTE: We DO NOT have wheelchair access and cannot provide such. Both ways in and out of the carriage house is via steps. On the day before your reservation, we will email over all the fine details of your stay. Watch your favorite streaming show via two 65″ tv’s. Both TV’s have the capability for you to log on your favorite streaming networks to enjoy your shows, you must have a streaming network to watch tv, we don’t provide any other option. Board games, some puzzles and cards are in the living room for all to enjoy while at our home. We have a dual recliner and a fold out queen bed in the living room to enjoy. In the kitchen we have a handcrafted table for 4 with 2 chairs and a bench.NoteWe welcome children, but the house is NOT child proof, as well as we do not have a crib or sleeper available for your little one, your more than welcome to bring it with you if you need one, there is plenty of space for one. We invite you to bring your fishing poles and tackle, we have multiple locations for bait a short drive away. VA law requires fishing licenses, and you are responsible for getting the proper license, and we will help print them if needed, but you can purchase online or at our local bait stores. Owners will not be held liable for failure to obtain any licenses required, resulting in violation tickets. We provide 5 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, and several size life jackets available. All water activities are at your own risk. Owners will not be held responsible for any injuries. You will be held responsible for any and all damages to the water toys and life jackets while you’re here and using them. We live on the property and will be sharing the yard and decks with you all.We look forward to seeing you!
