This studio apartment is located in the 19th century commercial district in Penn Yan. A second-floor walkup studio apartment, the Studio has been completely renovated and offers modern amenities while maintaining its historic character.The street entry door opens to a flight of stairs shared by the Sheridan House Studio and the Sheridan House Suite. The Studio is an open studio apartment with the kitchen, living, and bed areas all contained in one open area. Tall windows grace the front of the apartment and offer a view of downtown and Main Street.The full kitchen is stocked with cookware, dinnerware for 2, a full-size dishwasher, a drip coffee maker, and has a large peninsula with counter-height seating. The sitting area has a large tv, loveseat, armchairs and flows into the space where the cozy king size bed is situated.The bathroom is beautifully updated with white tile and has a tub/shower. There are two large closets off the main living area: one with plenty of storage for clothing and other items, another with a full-sized washer and dryer.The Studio is the perfect ‘home away from home’ apartment, whether you’re traveling for work, with your significant other, or finding time away by yourself. You’ll love the coffee shop down the street, Amity Coffee Co, the Burnt Rose wine bar below (which often features live music in the evenings) and you’ll find restaurants and bars just across the street or within a block of the apartment. If you’re looking for a modern, comfortable apartment to stay in during your time in Penn Yan, the Studio is just the place for you!Originally constructed in 1880 by John Sheridan as the Sheridan House Hotel, this historic property has long welcomed guests from near and far to enjoy everything the Finger Lakes has to offer. The first floor below the apartment, which boasted an oyster bar in the late 19th century, today houses a locally owned and operated wine bar. Guests may be able to hear some muffled noise and music from the wine bar below the apartment. The wine bar is restricted from operating or making noise late at night, although they do have live music multiple evenings a week. Quiet hours begin for them at 10PM each night in order to minimize potential disruption to our guests.EV charging is available at the town library- 2 blocks away and just a short 5 minute walk from the apartment.*Airconditioning is provided via central air*A limited amount of paper towel, toilet paper, soaps, is provided for each guest. If you run out, you will be responsible for purchasing more according to the needs of your group**We ask that renters to be over the age of 25. By booking you agree with this policy and comply with the request that the renting party is over the age of 25.**No pets or animals allowed at any time.**No parties allowed at any time.**Smoking prohibited except in outdoor areas.**Parking for 1 vehicle only!**Guest must comply with maximum occupancy AT ALL TIMES.
