The house sits on a cove of the Albemarle Sound.There is a 110 foot private walkway from the house to a dock with a gazebo. The house and gazebo face south-west offering beautiful sunsets. A porch off the kitchen faces the woods and offers a quiet serenity not often found at the beach. The beach (Atlantic Ocean) is less than a mile away and there is a bicycle path that runs in front of the ‘Sound Crab’, by the Wright Memorial ending at the major ocean access point in Kill Devil Hills.The house is tastefully decorated. There is an extraordinary amount of glass to take advantage of the sound and woods views. The kitchen is well equipped and contains all modern appliances. The house is far enough off the road (that dead ends less than 100 feet in a cul-de-sac) that traffic is rarely heard.A full-size washer and dryer are in a storage area on this floor.A Weber charcoal barbecue grill is available on the deck.A deck covers three sides of the lower level while the porch covers a fourth side.A deck covers two sides of the upper level while a porch covers a third side. Rising from this level of deck is a roof top deck.
