This home is called the Sea Lion Cottage offering the cozy charm of a beach cottage in a stylishly updated mid-century canal-side home . From the moment you drive down the street you will begin to relax. This quiet street is unique because it has homes on one side of the street and a mangrove preserve on the other side providing privacy. A canal out back complete with sailboat depth water and a dock to sit and watch the fish jump = perfect vacation! Add in a short walk to the beach (5-7 minutes) to watch the beautiful sunsets and a clear blue swimming pool covered with a screened lanai and you won’t want to leave. An outdoor shower, spacious outdoor seating areas with gas grill complete this beach home. Linens and all utensils and appliances are provided. You will feel like you are home from the minute you open the front door.The home opens onto the living room with a fireplace and flat screen tv. Beyond that you can open the sliding doors to the world outside to let in the warm breezes or hear your family splashing and giggling in the pool. The kitchen and dining area are to the right. There are two bedrooms to the left and a third bedroom area off the kitchen.The master bedroom features a king size bed complete with an en suite bath and roomy closets. Sliding doors open from the master onto the pool deck. The second bedroom features a queen size bed and an additional day bed for extra guests. There is a full bathroom complete with walk in shower right outside the door. The third small bedroom features a cozy set of bunk beds and has nearby access to a 1/2 bath and the outdoor shower. (Note that Sea Lion Cottage is subject to a 30 day minimum rental period as required on Longboat Key). There is a 90 cancellation policy. Cancellation before 90 days is 100% refundable less a $200 cancellation fee. After 90 days refunds are subject to refund if rebooked. Gas pool heating is available for a supplemental charge.Longboat Key is on the West Coast of Florida, near Sarasota and one hour south of Tampa. Longboat Key has some of the most unspoiled beaches in the area. Our access is only three blocks away from our home where you have the feeling that you have your own private beach. Longboat Key is a ten-mile long barrier island attached at each end by a bridge to the mainland. In a matter of minutes you can be on Anna Maria Island- so popular for it’s charming, unpretentious attitude and beautiful beaches or St. Armand’s Circle, a shopping paradise. If you would like to go to theme parks – we are one hour from Busch Gardens of Tampa Bay or two and a half hours from Disney and Universal Studios.
