Spacious & Historic: Classic Nantucket Home with Large Garden, Charm & EleganceThis classic Nantucket home, located just up the street from the Jared Coffin House in Nantucket town, was built in 1807 by Captain Robert Gardner, Jr. who captained the Chili, a whaler made famous during the War of 1812.This elegant and spacious 4-bedroom home features a large eat-in kitchen, lovely dining room, comfortable den, living room and powder room on the first floor. Four bedrooms and 2 baths and a central family room on the second floor provide relaxation and privacy. Behind the house is a very large, sunny English garden, filled with butterflies and wildflowers. Reading? Writing? What’s your pleasure?Within biking distance of Jetties and Surfside beaches and located on a quiet tree-lined street 3 blocks from Main St, this is the perfect in-town option for families on the go who want the convenience of shopping in town but also a quiet environment for their Nantucket vacation.The house is fully up to date with all appliances (electric stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, washer, dryer) and has private outdoor shower.The second floor includes a large master bedroom with a canopy queen bed, a second bedroom with a double four-poster, a single bedroom with an antique iron bed and a fourth bedroom with two twin beds. In addition, there is a central sitting room with flatscreen TV, chess board and a variety of board games.
